Our Story

A family business, built by the Columbus community

Family Thrift started with a simple idea: everyone deserves access to quality goods without the new-retail price tag. What began as a single storefront on E Main St has grown into a trusted stop for thousands of neighbors looking for their next great find — and for a way to shop that's kinder to their wallet and the planet.

Every donation that comes through our doors gets a second chance, and every purchase supports a locally owned, family-run business that reinvests right back into this neighborhood. We sort, clean, and price everything ourselves, because we still believe in doing this the old-fashioned way — by hand, with care.

What Our Customers Say

Sample reviews shown for demo purposes

I've found furniture here that would've cost me hundreds new. The staff always remembers what I'm looking for and sets things aside. Feels like a neighborhood shop, not a warehouse.
Marcus T.
My go-to spot for kids' clothes and toys. Everything is clean and well-organized, and the prices mean I can actually afford to dress a growing kid without stressing about it.
Priya S.
Scored a mid-century dresser and a stack of vinyl in the same trip. This place rotates stock so fast there's always something new to dig through.
Danielle W.
Been shopping here since it opened. It's genuinely a family business — they know their regulars, and you can tell they care about the community, not just the register.
Robert H.
